Sam's family has a deep rooted love of the town of Cabo Pulmo and when he first took Julia to visit, she quickly fell in love too. The desert landscape, intensely blue water, and relative isolation combined with the incredible sea-to-table food and friendliness of the people make it the perfect getaway.
Julia and Sam's wedding weekend was a four day event. They began with a casual gathering under the stars followed by a day to explore the wonders of the area. Their colorful welcome party was held at the seaside restaurant La Palapa and catered by Salt and Sugar.
Their wedding took place at the point of Cabo Pulmo bay with a stunning view of the bay, town, and hills beyond. Julia wore a silk Pronovias gown, with a long flowing veil. Her hair was perfectly tucked in a braid with floral details. Sam wore a Dolce Gabbana suit with a traditional bolo tie and loafers.
A mariachi band escorted guests from the ceremony to an old ruin, overlooking the brilliant blue water of the bay, where they enjoyed cocktails and canapes prior to the reception.
Julia and Sam's reception was custom built on a sand dune with a view of the water. It was surrounded by twinkling lights that echoed the multitude of stars in the sky - even every table was named after a constellation. Guests enjoyed tequila and mezcal tastings, pelotas and a delicious meal before dancing into the night.
the photos are absolutely incredible! my dad said he cried for an hour looking at them.
